Little Muncher!

The time has finally arrived...my tiny baby girl has her very first tooth! Even though it just barely cut through her gums today, it's just adorable. The second one feels like it will be popping through shortly. Ellie is an awesome eater, so these little teeth will, I'm sure, benefit her!

Did I mention she loves doing Patty Cake with anyone who will indulge her? Well, she does! She signs 'more' the same way. She holds her left hand still and slaps it with her right. SO CUTE!

Wild Woman!!!

Apparently my little FiFi didn't get enough of the blood and guts on Halloween...so she created her own today. First, the poor little bugger got her finger shut in a door at church. It was so bad I thought her little finger was going to fall off.

But that wasn't good enough, she needed more BLOOD! So she took a dive off the font porch railing right onto the front steps and split her chin open. And boy did she do a fine job getting the blood flowing...It was every. The gash was so deep the fat cells were hanging out and the skin was protruding. Six stitches later and she's 'aw better!'

FiFi was pretty hysterical (so was her mama). Fortunately, my friend Tami was over and rushed us to the InstaCare. Tami's a pro with kids and was so sweet with FiFi. She sat and held her hand and talked to her during the process...I was hunched over at the foot of the bed trying not to pass out.

After checking in, the doctor got right to work on FiFi's chin. They numbed her up with some Lydocane (I wouldn't recommend any mom watching that part) and then put six stitches in her little chin. While the doctor was working, FiFi went sound asleep and slept until we got home. Once home, her eyes popped open, she reached her hand to her chin, and with the most high pitched, dainty little voice asked, "What's this?"

Most know, I don't do blood, guts or scary movies, so by the time I got home, I was mentally exhausted. I tried to put FiFi down for a movie with her blankie, but she wanted nothing to do with that. So Aaron got her a bowl of ice cream to make her feel better, while I took a little quiet time.

After two hours of listening to kids run around the house and Aaron begging them to settle down, I climbed out of bed. Aaron asked what the heck they gave FiFi at the doctors office because she was being the wild one in the house. She's been climbing on top of the table, the bar top, jumping on the couches, running around the kitchen...she's driving me crazy and making me a complete nervous wreck! Her stitches have started bleeding again...

The Pumpkin Master

I must say, my kids are so lucky that I picked out such a great daddy for them! He is the pumpkin pickin' and carvin' MASTER! Big A can pick out the best pumpkins at the patch and then turn them into a work of art. If it were left up to me, we wouldn't carve pumpkins...BaHumbug!

Aaron sits down with the kids, gets their input on how they would like their pumpkins carved, sketches the faces for them, and then trasfers the 'pattern' onto the pumpkins and begins his work.

This year FiFi experienced pumpkin 'guts' for the first time. It didn't go over so well. It was quite the dramatic scene in which howling and tears were involved.

This is what happens when mommy is sick...kids are slightly neglected and don't get dressed properly. I spent the day on the couch, but Ellie didn't understand. She just wanted to be held. Poor baby!

Apparently she remembers that pumpkins are good. I baked a pumpkin pie pumpkin a couple weeks ago and feed her the leftover part that didn't quite make it into the pie. Yummy!

Also, I am working on the 'prizes' for my little giveaway so I can take some pictures to post on my blog. I'm not making any promises, but hope to have the details posted by next week.

Look at Me, Mom!

I've managed to get some great pictures of all three four kids that I know will look great on my walls. The kids really love them, too. For some reason my kiddies love looking at pictures of themselves...wonder why that is? LOL!

I wanted pictures that ooze personality, not just portraits. Something that makes me smile every time I look at them. Anyway, enough rambling. Enjoy and have a fabulous day☺

(Note: I really did write and publish 'three kids'...see what they do to me? I put FiFi's oatmeal in the fridge this morning, rather than the microwave! Time for a mommy break.)

Patience

Oh how I wish I would have been blessed with a little patience...I have been trying to get some pictures of my munchkins to hang on my (very bare) walls. The decorating bug hit a while ago and I've had some fun ideas for dressing up my boring house.

The only cute picture I got of FiFi today was of her running away from me...

I tried bribing them both by letting them make (scoop) their own chocolate chip cookies. Guess well try again tomorrow! Got any good ideas for more bribery?

Hahaha Snort Snort

My sister and I were talking yesterday about how frustrated we get with our children. Somehow I think we expect perfection out of the little people who are the center of our universe. I realized that I wake up really grouchy, which means I am usually not happy with kids about 30 seconds after waking up. Sad...really sad! So I decided this was going to change today. I am no longer going to be a grouchy, non-morning mommy. (Mind-over-matter, right?)

Anyway, today started off a tiny bit grouchy, but much better than it has been. Enough rambling, lets get to the point...I wanted to note some of the things that put a smile on my face today:o)

• Ellie pulling herself up and standing next to her toys. (She did this for the first time yesterday.)
• Haileigh being excited that today is probably the last day she'll wear shorts or riding her bike to school for a while.
• Harmonie laughing so hard at the park that she snorted! Priceless!!!
• Hunter begging to watch The Nightmare Before Christmas. I don't know why he isn't freaked out by this show. It gives me the heebie jeebies!
• Ellie 'talking' on the phone to her grandma and daddy. She squawks like a little bird.
• Harmonie and Carson (my friend's little boy) playing in the sandbox together...without fighting! I think Harmonie has a little crush. She runs to the door the second she sees him being dropped off, flings the door open and runs out to greet him.
• Grayson getting really excited about his gourmet dog food! Hilarious:o) I am really surprised he doesn't pee on the floor while I am getting it ready for him...he truly does get that excited.
• Aaron being HOME!
• The thought that we are having a landscaper coming tonight to give us a bid on our yard. I might have grass in just a few short weeks!
• Ellie waving hello to say Good Morning to her siblings.
• Finishing the girls' skirts and deciding on my next sewing project...I figure I better start working on my kids', niece, and nephews' Easter outfits now considering how long it took me to make three skirts. Can you imagine three bow ties and four dresses?

72 cuts of fabric + 3 spools of thread + 1 sewing machine + 1 (new:o) serger= ADORABLE

I still haven't finished the waistbands, but I couldn't resist taking a few pictures during Miss Ellie's seven month shoot. All three of my girls will have matching skirts, with foofy pettiskirts underneath. I am determined to get the waistbands finished tomorrow.

I haven't finished editing all of her pictures yet, but this is my fav so far. She is just a little sweetheart!
