Today was her BIG day!

Well, today was Baby Bear's big day! She got to go to nursery for the first time. Can I tell you how excited I was? REALLY, REALLY, REALLY excited!

With a hectic summer and being out of town, I didn't get a chance to prepare Ellie for nursery. So before today, she hadn't stepped foot inside the nursery. I was kind of worried about how she would react, after all, the child is pretty much attached to my hip...not that I'm complaining. After finding the right nursery (we have 3), we walked into the classroom, I told them her name, put her down to look around, and walked out. I then proceeded to hover like a lost little puppy!

Ellie was hilarious, she stood in place forever, then slowly moved herself over to the wall, leaned against it, and began watching the happenings. While standing there, she began yawning, like she was experiencing the most boring moments of her life! I was out in the hall laughing my fanny off.

To keep the kids from getting bored, the kids rotate through the 3 nursery classrooms. After GD, I went to find Baby Bear and check to see how she was doing. There sits my 18 month old baby, slouched in a chair like a punk teenager, looking at the teacher like she was a nut case. Seriously, you should have seen her face! Sister Ivers (who watched over my little angel today) had a bell in Ellie's hand and was shaking it. Besides the incredulous look, Ellie had no expression, movement, or emotion.

At the end of church, I went to get Ellie. When she saw me, she jumped from her chair and came running, half crying, half laughing. Sister Ivers told me she refused to have a snack (which is so surprising...she eats all day at home), but didn't cry at all. As we left, Ellie said 'bye-bye' and blew a kiss to Sister Ivers. I am so blessed to be the mommy of such a sweet little baby girl...and to have all my children in Primary! WoooHooo!

I can't believe she is big enough to go to nursery! Riker needs to take a lesson from her. He starts crying the second we leave the chapel. It is so her personality to sit like she is not impressed with things! I love her to death (even though she doesn't like me!) You look absolutely gorgeous! We miss you guys!
